According to TechCrunch report, Rapido co-founder and CEO Arvind Sanka has given information about this trial. Rapido has formed a co-company named Ctrlx Technologies to start its food delivery service. According to regulatory filings, Sanka and Rapido’s vice-president (finance) Vivek Krishna are directors of the subsidiary, the report said. Sanka said there was no specific reason for setting up the subsidiary. The move could be to avoid a potential conflict of interest with Swiggy.

For your information, let us tell you that Rapido’s Ownly app has been listed on Google Play for Android smartphone users. However, the app is not yet available on Apple’s App Store. This app is providing food from nearby restaurants at about 15% lower prices than Swiggy and Zomato. Ownly food delivery app does not charge commission from restaurants. At the same time, other food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato charge up to 30% commission from restaurants. Rapido is charging a fixed fee per order from the restaurant. An investor of Rapido said that while making deliveries for Swiggy, Rapido got information about peak hours and high-demand restaurants. Now he will use this data for his food delivery service.
Will provide food at a low price
With the app, Rapido aims to provide at least four meals for Rs 150 or less. It will provide food at 15 percent cheaper prices than Swiggy and Zomato.
