Disabled activist climbs Tamil Nadu's Viralimalai temple tower in protest; falls 50 feet while descending, dies

Disabled social activist K. Arumugam tragically died after falling from the Viralimalai Murugan temple tower in Pudukottai while protesting encroachments. He had climbed the tower to demand the removal of encroachments and the establishment of a peafowl sanctuary. Despite assurances from officials, he fell during his descent, sustaining fatal injuries.
