Netflix India launches teaser of Aryan Khan's 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', promises a crazy ride

Netflix India has launched a teaser — long enough to be a trailer — of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a web series featuring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal and other big stars from Hindi cinema.

The teaser gives a hint at how... crazy it is going to be. Aryan, who appears in the footage addressing the audience, promises a no-holds-barred fictional narrative spun around... Bollywood!

A production of the SRK family's home banner Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. The streamer announced that a preview will be out on August 20.

On Saturday, in an AskSRK interaction on 'X', the superstar gave his "honest review" on Aryan's creation when a fan asked him about it: "It’s very good. You all see and decide..but it’s very entertaining….and wacky and emotional. Honest Review!"

Shah Rukh Khan, who is expected to feature in the series, had in a grand event held by Netflix India in February to present its massive 2025 slate, said the title is pronounced as 'The Bads of Bollywood' and that Aryan and his team put a lot of effort into it.

"Hard work pays off only when the viewers are entertained. And now it has become a part of the family, so it is our duty to entertain audiences. It is a kind of a 'family' show as Netflix is also like a family to me... I hope this family get-together entertains India," he added.

As per the official logline provided by Netflix, the series is a fictional narrative — a high-stakes drama in which "an ambitious outsider and his friends navigate the chaotic, larger-than-life, yet uncertain world of Bollywood."

Netflix had earlier released a witty promo featuring Shah Rukh, with an appearance by Aryan sitting behind the camera and engaging in meta jokes with his dad. It is revealed that Aryan will be serving only as the writer, director, and co-creator of the series and not as an actor.

Shah Rukh hinted that the "biggest, baddest, bravest, whackiest, funniest, cheekiest, maddest and filmiest show on earth" revolves around people who come to Mumbai to pursue their dreams.

"It's very funny. It's just not the good, not just the ugly, not just the worst, it's not the best... It's the bads of Bollywood here," he said.
