Khelo India City Women’s Judo League held

JAMMU, Aug 17: A day-long Khelo India City Women’s Judo League 2025-26 was conducted at Pargo Memorial Shiksha Kendra, Gurha Manhasan, Jammu. The event was organized by the Judo Association of Jammu & Kashmir under the banner of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Judo Federation of India.
The league witnessed the participation of around 100 female judokas competing in Sub-Junior, Junior, Cadet and Senior categories. The competition aimed to promote grassroots participation and provide a platform for young female athletes.
Ajay Singh, Chairman of PMSK, was the chief guest and distributed medals and certificates among winners and participants. Anuradha, social activist and Suraj Sharma, General Secretary of the Judo Association J&K, were the guests of honour.
Bouts were officiated by Manish Chatwal, Judo Instructor. Among the prominent attendees were Satish Singh, Raman, Anu, Anshika and Sunakshi Devi.
Medal Winners: Gold: Sharuti, Shabnam, Aruhi, Aarahi, Anshika, Mahi, Pari, Sawara, Sunalika, Mahika, Muskan, Mehak, Sunakshi, Vishali, Arya, Shreya, Monika, Pinky, Mansi, Kritika, Sagun, Shilpa Rajput, Samreeti, Vertika and Khushi. Silver: Sargun, Ruhi, Mahita, Mahi, Sarika, Kavya, Akshita, Ritika, Mehak, Raghavi, Rashi, Aarvi, Rakhi Kumari, Mehima, Muskan, Shalu, Nihar, Kritika, Niharika, Nandni, Sumakha, Khushi and Partiba. Bronze: Kanika, Mashika, Shagun, Mehak, Mahvish, Ruhi, Suhani, Madhu, Lakshita, Ridhima, Sunita, Chandni, Gunjan, Sonakshi, Vanshika, Nitika, Surbhi, Ashmita and Banika.
