Breaking: Congress President Criticizes PM Modi’s ‘RSS NGO’ Remark, Highlights Voter Suppression in Bihar
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement describing RSS as an NGO serving people. Kharge termed this characterization as misleading and inappropriate, especially given the context of Independence Day celebrations. He asserted that the Prime Minister’s remarks were a distortion of facts and condemned them for diverting attention from real national issues. Kharge also raised serious concerns about the removal of 6.5 million voters’ names from Bihar’s electoral rolls. He accused the BJP government of deliberately disenfranchising poor citizens, Scheduled Tribes, and marginalized youth by tampering with voter lists. Kharge emphasized that such actions harm democratic processes and suppress the voices of vulnerable communities. Additionally, Kharge challenged the BJP’s repeated promises regarding job creation, pointing out that despite claims of creating crores of jobs since 2014, these remain unfulfilled. He accused the BJP leadership of continuing a “culture of lies” and spreading misinformation. Kharge concluded by asserting that the Congress party would continue to hold the government accountable for its actions.
