Odisha Vigilance Raids Properties of Angul Irrigation Division Superintending Engineer on DA Allegations 

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous searches today at eight locations linked to Surendra Behera, Superintending Engineer (SE) of the Irrigation Division, Angul, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.

The raids, authorized by search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh, are being conducted by a team comprising three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), ten Inspectors, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff.

The searches target properties and premises associated with Behera across Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sundargarh, Angul, and Ganjam.

The locations under scrutiny include:

(1) Tripple storeyed building located at Sundargarh Town, Dist- Sundargarh.

(2) Double storeyed building of located at Chhend, M/20, Gopabandhu Nagar, Rourkela.

(3) Flat No.403, Aurovila-1,Phase-3 at Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar.

(4) Flat No.402, Aurovila-1, Phase-3 at Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar.

(5) His paternal house at village Ranjhali, PS Purusottampur, Dist-Ganjam.

(6) House of his in-law at village Aladigaon, Purusottampur, Beherasahi, Dist-Ganjam.

(7) His Residential Govt Quarter at 3RA/1 Irrigation Colony, Angul.

(8) Office room of Sri Behera at Irrigation Divn. Angul.
