Ensure supply of clean drinking water, Rohtak ZP chief tells officials

Pradeep Kaushik, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rohtak Zila Parishad, has directed officials concerned to ensure the supply of clean drinking water to residents.

He was listening to the complaints of the residents along with District Development and Panchayat Officer Rajpal Chahal, District Revenue Officer Pramod Chahal and senior officials of other departments during the Samadhan Shivir organised at the local Mini-Secretariat on Monday.

The residents of Tilak Nagar in Rohtak city lodged a complaint regarding the supply of contaminated drinking water in their colony.

The CEO directed the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure the supply of pure drinking water to the residents.

He asserted that immediate action be taken on the complaints of the residents regarding the supply of dirty water and supply of pure drinking water should be ensured.

“The department should also get the sewers cleaned immediately so that the residents do not face any problem while passing through the streets," said Kaushik.

He directed the officials concerned of the Irrigation Department to get the drains cleaned for smooth water drainage in Pakasma and other villages.

While listening to the other complaints of residents from different parts of Rohtak, the CEO directed the officials concerned of the Education Department, Municipal Corporation, UHBVN, Police, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department, Labour Department and Cooperative Societies to resolve the complaints related to their respective departments immediately. UHBVN Executive Engineer Seema Nara, Municipal Corporation Executive Engineer Manjeet Dahiya, District Food and Supply Controller Varinder Singh, District Social Welfare Officer Mahabir Godara, District Family Welfare Education Officer Suresh Bhardwaj and other officials were present.
