Apple has opened a new office in Minsk Square, downtown Bengaluru. This office is the company’s latest addition after its corporate offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurugram. The new Bengaluru office is a 15-storey building with dedicated lab space and can accommodate around 1,200 employees.
In Bengaluru, Apple’s teams work across different areas of the business, including software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, and customer support. The tech giant currently employs about 3,000 people in India. By working with suppliers of all sizes across the country, Apple also helps create lakhs of jobs nationwide.
Apple’s new Bengaluru office has been built with a strong focus on sustainability and local design. Inside, the walls and floors feature locally sourced stone, wood, and fabric, while the space is filled with native plants. The entire building will run on 100 per cent renewable energy, with a goal of achieving the LEED Platinum rating, the highest level of certification for energy and environmental design.
Apple has already been carbon neutral for all corporate operations since 2020, and since 2018, every Apple facility worldwide has been powered by 100 per cent renewable energy.
In India, Apple’s growth has been rapid. Last year, the company produced iPhones worth over Rs. 1 lakh crore, a sharp increase from the year before. Out of this, iPhones worth Rs. 65,000 crore were exported between January and December.
Speaking about the new office, an Apple spokesperson said: “With our new office in the heart of Bengaluru, Apple is very excited to continue expanding in India. This vibrant city is already home to many talented teams working across software engineering, hardware technologies, operations, customer support, and more. Just like everything we do at Apple, this office is designed to inspire innovation, creativity, and connection. It’s a wonderful space for our teams to collaborate.”
