Gold, Silver Rates Today (August 19): Gold, silver fall on MCX post Zelenskyy-Trump meeting | Check rates

The gold price on MCX fell on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, as investors are hopeful of a possible end to the war between Russia and Ukraine after a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The gold October 3 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a minor gain of Rs 65 at Rs 99,466 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 99,401. While it hit a high of Rs 99,517, it was trading at Rs 99,217 with a fall of Rs 184 or 0.19 per cent at the time of writing the report. In between, it touched a low of Rs 99,191.
