SRINAGAR, Aug 21: Rayat Bahra Professional University, located in Mohali, Punjab, today announced plans to attract more students from Jammu and Kashmir by offering industry-driven and job-oriented courses aimed at improving employment prospects.
Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who also chairs the Rayat Bahra Group, told reporters in Srinagar that the university is committed to producing employment-ready graduates with skills in demand across industries.
“Professional courses at Rayat Bahra are designed to give students a competitive edge, ensuring they are placement-ready even before completing their degrees,” Bahra said.
He added that the new programmes would particularly benefit students from Jammu and Kashmir seeking career opportunities outside the region.
Established in 2008, the university has a 55-acre campus with more than 10,000 students. It offers modern facilities, including laboratories, libraries, hostels, and sports infrastructure. Courses are currently available in engineering, pharmacy, management, education, law, and nursing, along with diploma and certificate programmes in medical and allied fields.
The university also announced that new-age courses will be launched in collaboration with multinational companies to further enhance employment opportunities for students.
