Jaswinder Bhalla, Punjabi cinema icon, passes away during treatment at Mohali hospital

The Punjabi entertainment world is in mourning following the passing of beloved actor and comedian Jaswinder Bhalla at the age of 70.

Bhalla had been unwell for some time and was taking treatment prior to his death.

Bhalla breathed his last in the early hours on Friday at Fortis hospital in Mohali.

His influence on the industry was profound—through decades of laughter, social satire, and cultural commentary, he earned a cherished place in the hearts of millions.

Final rites are scheduled for Saturday at 12 noon at the Balongi Cremation Ground in Mohali, where family, friends, and admirers would gather to pay tributes.
