Solapur Division Athletes bring Laurels for Indian Railways at 78th Senior National Aquatic Championship 2025

Solapur Division of Central Railway has once again made Indian Railways proud on the national sports stage. At the 78th Senior National Aquatic Championship 2025, held at Ahmedabad, divers from Solapur Division delivered an outstanding performance, securing a rich haul of 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals for Indian Railways.

The medal winners from Solapur Division are:

- Esha Waghmode, CCTC – Gold in Women’s 3M Springboard Synchronisation Diving, Gold in Women’s Platform Synchronisation Diving, Bronze in Women’s 3M Springboard Diving & Bronze in Women’s Platform Diving

- Om Awasthi, CCTC – Silver in Men’s Platform Diving & Bronze in Men’s Platform Synchronisation Diving

- Aditya Giram, TTI – Silver in Men’s 3M Springboard Synchronisation Diving & Bronze in Men’s Platform Synchronisation Diving

Adding to this pride, Harish Annaldas, Sr. Technician at Solapur, a former International player, served as the Chief Coach of the Indian Railway Diving Team. He has been a mentor to these medal-winning divers, playing a crucial role in shaping their success at the championship.

Particularly noteworthy is the performance of Esha Waghmode, whose achievement of 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals is a glowing example of women empowerment in Indian Railways.
