As per a report in Hindustan Times, Ved Lahoti’s father, Yogesh Lahoti, is a construction manager at Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio. Meanwhile, his mother, Jaya Lahoti, is a homemaker. Ved quoted true inspiration from his mother, Jaya, and grandfather, R.C. Somani.

Speaking about his educational qualifications, Ved Lahoti secured 98.6% in his Class 10 board exams and 97.6% in his Class 12 exams. Later, he got enrolled in one of the coaching centres in Rajasthan’s Kota. Ved had secured a second place in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) in Class 5 and Class 6. Subsequently, he also won a gold medal in the International Junior Science Olympiad in Class 8.
He even obtained 295 out of 300 marks, earning him an All India Rank(AIR) of 119 in JEE Main 2024. In an interview with news agency PTI, Lahoti said, “I devoted three to four hours for self-study daily and scored 332-340 in routine tests regularly. So, I was confident. “Since the paper was a bit easy as compared to the test papers, I succeeded,” he said.
It is stated that Lahoti from the Delhi zone topped the IIT entrance exam JEE-Advanced, securing 355 out of 360 marks, the highest ever. The previous highest was 352 in 2022.
