‘George Soros has kept aside $1 trillion to destabilise India; Rahul Gandhi working in coordination with him’

Union minister Kiren Rijiju launched a blistering attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of working in coordination with the anti-India forces to weaken the country.

Rijiju’s charges came amid the raging row over the election rigging allegations, with the opposition parties accusing the BJP of “vote theft” in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and many other state assembly polls.

“When Congress cannot win elections, then they and the forces against India together start attacking the government and the institutions so that the public loses faith in this country's institutions,” Rijiju told ANI news agency.

The minister claimed that Rahul’s remarks make his own party MPs uncomfortable as they fear that the party will have to pay a price for his “nonsense”. He noted that even the Supreme Court had scolded him for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rafale, and the India-China clash.

“Rahul Gandhi is going on a very dangerous track. What George Soros says is that one trillion dollars are kept to destabilise the Indian government. The anti-India Khalistan force sitting in Canada, the US, the UK, and many Left organisations are conspiring to work against the country. Rahul Gandhi and Congress are working in coordination with them and weakening the country,” the minister said.

He, however, added that nobody can weaken the country under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Rijiju further criticised the opposition parties for creating a ruckus in parliament, saying the MPs were acting on instructions of their party leaders.

“These people (Opposition MPs) have been given orders from their party leaders to go and do anything, create a ruckus, and grab headlines," the minister told the news agency.
