Public Holiday 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has changed the date of public holiday of Eid-e-Milad (Milad-un-Nabi). According to the new notification of the government, now this holiday will be given on 5 September 2025 (Friday). Earlier this holiday was declared on 6 September 2025 (Saturday).
The official order issued by the General Administration Department states that the public and general holiday declared on 6 September for Eid-e-Milad has been canceled. At the same time, now there will be a public and general holiday across the state on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad on 5 September.

The notification also clarified that the optional holiday already declared for Anant Chaturdashi on September 6 will remain as it is. This means that the districts and departments in which the holiday was already scheduled on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi on this day, that holiday will not be affected.

After this order, government offices, educational institutions, and other public service centers across the state will remain closed on September 5, while on September 6, services will be affected only in the areas declared as optional holiday.
