Delhi: Pilot arrested for recording objectionable videos of a woman using hidden camera

The Delhi Police, on Friday, arrested a pilot of a private airline for allegedly filming, using a hidden camera, the objectionable videos of a woman.

 

Uttar Pradesh resident Mohit Priyadarshi attempted to record the videos of the woman using a hidden camera. Police have recovered a device in the shape of a lighter fitted with a camera from the accused.

 

“On the night of August 30, complainant Ms K, a resident of Kishangarh village, noticed the accused attempting to record her at Shani Bazar without consent," Delhi Police officials have been quoted as saying.

 

Following the complaint, the police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). 

 

Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation and looked into the CCTV footage in Shani Bazar area. They tracked down the accused with the help of local informers, say media reports.

 

The accused admitted to the crime and told the police that he was recording the videos for his "personal gratification”.

 

He admitted he had been making such videos to satisfy his personal gratification, the police said.
