HAL to deliver to IAF first 2 'improved' Tejas Mark-1A in October

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) aims to deliver the first two 'improved' Tejas Mark-1A fighters to the IAF next month, pending successful weapon firing trials. Delays are attributed to engine delivery issues from General Electric and weapon integration challenges. The IAF, facing squadron shortages, awaits the delivery of 83 Tejas Mark-1A jets and has ordered 97 more.
