Mumbai traffic ALERT for Ganpati Visarjan: No vehicles allowed in THESE routes, check diversions and alternate routes
As the ten-day Ganesh festival is coming to an end and the city gets ready for the big Ganesh Visarjan 2025, Mumbai Traffic Police has shared a traffic advisory with an aim to prevent traffic jams on Anant Chaturdashi. On social media platform X, the traffic police announced the changes for different parts of the city, from South Mumbai to Central areas and the eastern suburbs. Some roads will not allow parking, while others will ban the movement of goods vehicles during the processions.
The police said, “Ganeshotsav is one of the biggest festivals in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai. It ends with the immersion of Lord Ganesha’s idols in water. These processions bring together huge crowds of devotees and visitors. People from across the city gather to watch, which causes heavy pedestrian and vehicle movement.”
