As per the recent report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), the assets of India’s richest minister amount to over Rs 5,700 crore. Quite interestingly, many ministers have amassed wealth that puts them ahead of many well-established, prominent businessmen. Let us see who this richest minister is and which party he belongs to.
Based on the ADR report, out of a total of 643 ministers in India, 36 are billionaires. This means about 6% of ministers have assets worth more than Rs 100 crore. Overall, the total declared wealth of all ministers exceeds Rs 23,929 crore. As for the richest minister, Dr. Chandrasekhar Pemmasani from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is the richest minister in the country.
