Cancelled Trains : Big news for passengers! 46 trains cancelled on this route, route of many trains changed

This is a big shock for the passengers planning to return home during the festivals. Pre-interlocking and non-interlocking work will be done from 22 to 26 September for the commissioning of Gorakhpur-Domingarh third line and Gorakhpur-Nakha Jungle doubling. Due to this, the Railways has canceled 46 trains, while the route of many trains has been changed.

East Central Railway CPRO Saraswati Chandra said that after the completion of non-interlocking work, the Railway Safety Commissioner will inspect on September 26. After this, the delay of trains in Domingarh will be reduced and more special trains can be operated in the upcoming festivals (Dussehra, Diwali, Chhath).

Major trains cancelled

  • 12537 Muzaffarpur–Prayagraj Jn. Express – 22nd and 24th September
  • 15098 Jammu Tawi–Bhagalpur Amarnath Express – 23rd September
  • 15047 Kolkata–Gorakhpur Purvanchal Express – 25th and 27th September
  • 15705 Katihar–Delhi Champaran Humsafar – 22nd and 25th September
  • 15273 Raxaul–Anand Vihar Satyagraha Express – 22nd to 27th September

Operations of total 46 trains will be affected.

Trains running on diverted route

  • 02563 Barauni–New Delhi Clone Special will now go via Chhapra–Aundihar–Varanasi–Prayagraj.
  • 11123 Gwalior–Barauni Express will now run via Lucknow–Sultanpur–Varanasi–Chhapra route.
  • 12553 Vaishali Express will now go via Bhatni–Mau–Varanasi–Ayodhya Cantt–Barabanki route.

Many other trains will also be run via alternate routes.

Partial termination/rescheduling

  • 15027 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur Maurya Express will be partially terminated up to Deoria Sadar.
  • 15047 Kolkata–Gorakhpur Express will also run up to Deoria Sadar.
  • 13507 Asansol–Gorakhpur Express will now terminate at Siwan Jn.
  • Many trains have been rescheduled with delays ranging from 90 minutes to 4 hours.
