Apple launches iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max with aluminium 'plateau' design, A19 Pro chip, and 48MP triple cameras

Apple's iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max introduce a full-width camera plateau with upgraded 48MP lenses for all three rear cameras, including an 8x optical zoom telephoto. The phones shift to an aluminum design with enhanced vapor cooling and Ceramic Shield protection. Powered by the A19 Pro chip, they boast MacBook-level performance and significantly improved battery life, with the Pro Max reaching 39 hours of video playback.
