Train Ticket Update: To provide a major relief to passengers, the Indian Railways has taken a decision not to charge a cancellation fee for rescheduling a confirmed ticket. Informing about the decision, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the new facility will allow passengers to reschedule their travel date without cancelling the ticket. As per the current rule, if a passenger changes his travel date for any reason, the confirmed ticket has to be cancelled first and then he can rebook tickets for the new date. This process also attracts a cancellation fee of over 25 percent. Also, there is no confirmation of getting a new ticket.
