Bank Holiday: If you’re planning to visit the bank today, October 10, 2025, be sure to read this news first. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, all government and private banks in Himachal Pradesh will be closed today on the occasion of Karva Chauth. However, in all other states across the country, banks will remain open as usual and daily operations will continue.
The festival of Karva Chauth is very special for married women. On this day, women observe a fast without water to pray for their husbands’ long life and prosperity. After fasting all day without drinking water, the fast is broken only after viewing the moon and performing puja at night.
According to the RBI holiday list, today’s holiday is a state-level holiday, so its impact will be limited to Himachal Pradesh. However, banks in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and other states will open at their scheduled times.
However, customers whose banks are closed can easily conduct their transactions through online banking, mobile apps, or ATM services. These digital services will not be affected by the holiday.
In the coming days, banks will be closed in different states due to festivals like Dussehra and Valmiki Jayanti. Therefore, before starting any important work, be sure to check the RBI’s bank holiday list for October 2025.
