UP RERA releases new user manual for the process of extending project registration period

UP RERA Process: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has taken a significant initiative to enhance transparency, efficiency, and ease in the real estate sector. The authority has released a new user manual for the “Extension of Project Registration” process on its website. This manual provides promoters with step-by-step instructions on how to apply online for a project extension. It features clear, illustrated guidelines, making the application process easier to understand and complete.

This will reduce the likelihood of application errors and delays, making the registration extension process faster and more efficient. The manual issued by UP RERA has been prepared in accordance with the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016, Uttar Pradesh Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2016, Uttar Pradesh Real Estate (Agreement for Sale/Lease) Rules 2018 and Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations, 2019.

Previously, UP RERA has issued several user manuals, including complaint registration, project registration, and promoter enrollment. The new manual is an important step in this series of efforts to promote e-governance and digital empowerment in the real estate sector. The authority states that this manual is not just a process guide, but also a powerful tool for capacity building. It will help promoters understand regulatory requirements and ensure compliance. The UP RERA has also indicated that it will soon release an Agent Training and Registration Manual to provide agents with clear guidelines regarding their role and the registration process. UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said, “I am confident that this user manual for the project registration extension process will prove to be a useful reference for promoters and other stakeholders.
