Pattnaik crafted a six-foot-long sand sculpture depicting the singer’s portrait, accompanied by the message, ‘Justice for Zubeen Garg’. The artwork, created using nearly eight tonnes of sand, drew attention for both its artistic finesse and emotional depth. Students from Pattnaik’s Sand Art Institute also joined him in the tribute, working alongside their mentor to complete the memorial piece.
"As an artist, this is my way of expressing deep respect for Zubeen Garg and standing with all those who are grieving his loss. I appeal to everyone - let us remain calm and united during this time," Pattnaik said in a statement, as reported by PTI.
