OTV’s ‘Ama Sahi Medha-2025’ celebrates creativity during Gajalakshmi Puja

Leading media organisation OTV organised the ‘Ama Sahi Medha-2025’ competition as part of the Gajalakshmi Puja celebrations, showcasing the creativity and festive spirit of local communities.

In Dhenkanal, a total of 38 Puja mandaps participated in the contest, which will recognise excellence in seven different categories. The best mandaps in each category will be awarded by OTV.

Renowned artist Paresh Pattnayak and senior journalist Ratan Nayar served as judges, visiting all the participating mandaps to evaluate their decoration, creativity, and thematic execution. Each mandap was prepared with a competitive spirit, reflecting the dedication and artistic talent of the community.

“We welcome this new initiative by OTV. I’m not sure if the administration is taking any step in this regard, but OTV’s step to honour the creativity and festive spirit of local communities is laudable,” said renowned artist Paresh Pattnayak.

The competition was also held in Kendrapara, where over 68 mandaps participated. OTV’s nominated jury assessed each mandap from multiple perspectives, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation.

The results of the contest are scheduled to be announced on October 12, 2025, and prizes will be presented to the top mandaps in each of the seven categories. The initiative has been widely appreciated for promoting cultural participation, artistic expression, and community engagement during the festive season.
