Multiple road infra projects worth Rs 494L inaugurated in Sahnewal
Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday inaugurated a series of road development projects worth Rs 494.03 lakh to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the Sahnewal constituency.
The projects include the construction and enhancement of several key roads, including Kakka to Tajpur road, covering 3.60 km at a cost of Rs 54.61 lakh, Ludhiana Rahon Road to Khawajke, spanning 2.05 km at Rs 51.11 lakh, Kakka to Khawajke covering 0.50 km at Rs 22.50 lakh, Jagirpur to Tibba Road spanning 0.90 km at Rs 47.70 lakh, Gautam Colony to Amarjeet Colony, covering 0.85 km at Rs 27.90 lakh, Gautam Colony to Jagirpur (up to main road) spanning 0.37 km for Rs 14.43 lakh, GT Road to Noorwala Sujatwal, Dheri, covering 1.89 km at Rs 74.83 lakh, Jamalpur Noorwala road to approach road Gurudwara Nanaksar, spanning 0.52 km for Rs 17.05 lakh, Mangat to Gonsgarh, covering 2.10 km at Rs 41.19 lakh, Gadapur to Sasrali, spanning 1.50 km for Rs 22.22 lakh; Phirni village to Mangli, covering 0.50 km at Rs 7.72 lakh, Mangli Tanda to Jiwanpur, spanning 2.33 km for Rs 46.72 lakh, Ludhiana Rahon Road to Mangli Khas, covering 1 km at Rs 16.95 lakh and Ludhiana Rahon Road to Garhi Fazil, spanning 1.90 km for Rs 35.83 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mundian said the road projects incorporate modern construction techniques, including the use of 80 mm and 60 mm tiles, thus ensuring durability. The projects would benefit residents, businesses and commuters by improving accessibility and reducing travel time across key routes in Ludhiana, the minister said.
He said the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was dedicated to prioritising infrastructure development, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth. The road projects mark a significant step towards achieving that vision.
