Bobby Deol reveals father Dharmendra still lives with first wife Prakash Kaur because…, says ‘They love being…’
Veteran actor Dharmendra is one of the stalwarts of Bollywood who has delivered numerous hits and entertained audiences to the fullest. From sharing the screen with legendary actor Dilip Kumar to iconic star Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra has worked with everyone. While his professional life was always in the headlines, his personal life also remained the talk of the town. Recently, Dharmendra’s younger son, Bobby Deol, shared insights about their family, revealing that his father still lives with his first wife, Prakash Kaur, at their Khandala farmhouse.
For those unfamiliar, when Dharmendra entered Bollywood, he was a young, married man who arrived in Mumbai with dreams of stardom. His success gradually brought wealth to the family, while his wife, Prakash Kaur, worked to adjust to the demands of the film industry.
Recently, in an interview, Bobby was asked about his father’s social media, which suggested that Dharmendra and his first wife are still living together. He said, “My mum is also there. They’re both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic. They love being at the farmhouse. They’re also old now, and being at the farmhouse is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is nice. Papa has made a paradise out there.”
He also added, “Papa is very emotional. He’s very expressive. Sometimes he goes overboard, and I ask him why he wrote or said what he did, and he tells me he was just following his heart.”
For those who don’t know, Dharmendra tied the knot with Prakash Kaur in 1954 at the age of 19. The couple has four children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and two daughters, Vijeta and Ajeeta.
However, tension arose in the family when Dharmendra’s affair with actress Hema Malini started. Things progressed to the point where the two decided to get married. Following the wedding, Hema began living in the same house where Prakash Kaur and her children resided.
