Body found near riverbed in Ganjam with hand missing; murder suspected

The body of a man was recovered from the Bahuda riverbed near Nuapada village under Chikiti block on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Narayan Pradhan, a resident of the area.
According to reports, Narayan had gone to his farmland early in the morning. A few hours later, locals spotted his body floating in the river and immediately informed the police.
Following the incident, villagers alleged that it was a case of murder and lodged a complaint at the K. Nuagaon Police Station in Odisha's Ganjam. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
