'Kantara: Chapter 1 ' worldwide box office collection Day 11: Rishab Shetty-starrer set to soar past Rs 600 crore today
Kantara: Chapter 1 continues its phenomenal run at the box office worldwide. Released on October 2, the Rishab Shetty-starrer has been wrecking havoc at the ticket windows across all versions and territories.
On Sunday (October 12), the mythological epic drama is set to create a new milestone as it will comfortably go past Rs 600 crore worldwide gross in just 11 days of theatrical run. It must be noted that the Rs 500 crore mark was breached just two days ago, thereby showing the sizzling box office form of the film.
The second weekend has seen an outstanding trend across all circuits. In Karnataka, the film jumped by more than 70 percent from Friday to Saturday and Sunday is expected to grow by another 20 percent at least. The film has grossed Rs 155 crore in 10 days and should add at least another Rs 17 crore on its 11th day.
In AP/TG, the film has grossed Rs 85 crore in 10 days and it can expect another Rs 7-8 crore on its 11th day, with the Rs 100 crore mark not too far away. The business in Tamil Nadu is also superstrong with the film dominating Idli Kadai completely in the State. The Day 10 numbers in TN were on par with the opening day, and will should be close to Rs 50 crore gross by Sunday.
In Kerala, the story is similar as it is another state where the Rs 50 crore gross looks assured. The film has touched Rs 39 crore in 10 days and should be around Rs 43-44 crore gross by the end of Sunday.
The Hindi version is also on a juggernaut run with Saturday doubling Friday's numbers. By Sunday, the film should be around Rs 175 crore gross from Rest of India.
