Bar Asso Udhampur secures big win over CAO in cricket match

UDHAMPUR, Oct 12: As part of the Civic Action Programme organized by the 124-IRP Battalion in collaboration with DYSSO Udhampur, a thrilling cricket match was held between the Bar Association Udhampur and the Chief Agriculture Office (CAO) under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Winning the toss, the Bar Association chose to bat and scored an impressive 188/3. Gaurav starred with a superb unbeaten century (100), backed by Ashfaq (39) and Bhanu (12). Rakesh took the only wicket for CAO.
In response, CAO managed only 82 runs, with Ajay (20), Gautam (14) and another Ajay (13) contributing. Bar Association bowlers dominated, with Anoop taking 3 wickets and Kuldeep and Rohin picking one each.
Chief guest Harbans Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, praised the players and highlighted the role of sports in youth engagement. Jatin Sethi, Nodal Officer and Organising Secretary, was applauded for his efforts. Officials included Naveen Sharma, Vinod Khajuria, Rajesh Sharma, Sourabh Pandit and others.
