Ambedkar University, Seoul institute discuss research exchange roadmap

Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) and Chung-Ang University, Seoul, took a step toward strengthening international academic partnerships through a consultative meeting, held recently on the AUD’s Kashmere Gate campus.

The meeting aimed to explore collaborative opportunities in research, teaching, and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.

The discussions were chaired by AUD Vice-Chancellor Anu Singh Lather, and headed by Chung-Ang University vice-president Lee Chan Kyu.

The meeting was facilitated by Tanuja Singh from the department of political science, under the aegis of the School of Liberal Studies (SLS) and the International Affairs Division of AUD.

During the meeting, both sides showcased extensive presentations highlighting the academic profiles, research ecosystems, and institutional visions of their respective universities.

The dialogue emphasised the growing importance of Global South-South partnerships in higher education and explored areas such as international relations, artificial intelligence, and traditional knowledge systems as potential fields for collaboration.

The representatives also discussed the scope for joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, and capacity-building initiatives that could enhance academic mobility and global engagement.

Lather said such collaborations strengthened the global outreach of Indian universities, and helped create a more inclusive academic environment.

The meeting concluded with both institutions expressing their commitment to formalising partnerships that promote interdisciplinary learning and international cooperation.
