Donald Trump’s open threat to Putin, warns Russia of sending THIS deadly weapon to Ukraine if…, has range of 2500 km, it is…

After losing the Nobel Peace Prize, US President Donald Trump seems to be venting his frustration on several world leaders. Following his remarks directed at China, Trump is now directing his anger at Russia over the ongoing war in Ukraine. Trump showed strong disapproval of Moscow’s actions, claiming that if Moscow doesn’t settle its war there soon, then he may send Ukraine long-range Tomahawk missiles.

What weapon is Trump threatening to send?

While traveling to Israel aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters, “I might say, ’Look: if this war is not going to get settled, I’m going to send them Tomahawks,” as reported by AP.  He further added, “The Tomahawk is an incredible weapon, very offensive weapon. And honestly, Russia does not need that.”

“I might tell them that if the war is not settled — that we may very well.” He added, “We may not, but we may do it. I think it’s appropriate to bring up,” Trump was quoted as saying by AP.

Why is Trump threatening to send Tomahawks?

His remarks were made after Trump conversed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Trump indicated that he referenced the suggestion of sending Tomahawks during that conversation.

Referring to Russia, Trump stated,” Do they want to have Tomahawks going in that direction? I don’t think so.” “I think I might speak to Russia about that.” “Tomahawks are a new step of aggression,” Trump further stated as reported by AP.

His statements followed overnight Russian strikes on Ukraine’s power grid, which officials say is part of Russia’s ongoing campaign to undermine the Ukrainian energy system as winter nears. Moscow also expressed “extreme concern” about the potential supply of US-made Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. Putin himself has already hinted that the United States supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine is going to harm relations between Moscow and Washington. Earlier on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he was in talks with U.S. officials on the possible transfer of various long-range precision strike weapons, including Tomahawks and ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles. Zelenskyy mentioned that the increase in Russian attacks has been continuous and that missiles like these are important for Ukraine’s defense.

During an interview with Fox News Channel’s “The Sunday Briefing” after his call with Trump, Zelenskyy was asked whether Trump had approved the Tomahawk missiles. He said, “We work on it. “I’m waiting for president to yes,” Zelenskyy said.

What are Tomahawk missiles?

Tomahawk missiles are regarded as some of the most powerful weapons in modern warfare. The Tomahawk cruise missile is capable of launching from ships, submarines, and ground-based launchers. It can reach a target in an airspace heavily defended from 1,000 miles away.
