New DTC Buses Service: Pink card facility for women in DTC buses may start from this day, Details here

Pink card facility: The Pink Card facility for women will soon be launched on DTC buses in Delhi. The scheme aims to provide free travel to women, making them feel safe. The process of obtaining the card will be simple, and the government is committed to its smooth implementation. The date will be announced soon.

Pink card facility: Women bus travelers who are waiting for the Pink Card may receive this facility starting Bhaiya Dooj. They will be issued Pink Cards instead of Pink Tickets for bus travel. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed the Transport Department to expedite work on this scheme.

In 2019, the Pink Ticket facility for free bus travel for women in DTC buses was introduced on Bhaiya Dooj. Now, preparations are underway to replace the tickets with digital cards. A Delhi government official said that efforts are underway to launch it on Bhaiya Dooj.

The Pink Card will be valid for life, making it easier for women to use public transport at any time without any restrictions. The card will need to be activated through DTC’s Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) before use. No cards will be issued directly by DTC.

Registration will be entirely online through the DTC portal, and cards will only be issued after complete KYC verification by a selected bank. The new initiative will replace the previous paper-based ticketing system, providing a permanent, personalized travel pass that will allow women passengers to travel freely and conveniently on Delhi government buses. Applicants must be bonafide residents of Delhi to receive the smart card.
