Drop-Tested iPhone Cases and Local Production: Ringke Sharpens India Focus
Tamil Nadu, India, September 25, 2025: South Korean mobile accessories manufacturer Ringke, started producing its GaN (Gallium Nitride) 3-Port Fast Chargers in India, last year. Building on its initial success, the brand is now constructing a new manufacturing unit near Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, close to Apple supplier Foxconn’s facility. This new unit is expected to handle both domestic as well as overseas demand for the brand’s complete product line.
With more people opting for iPhones the demand for iPhone accessories have shot up exponentially in India. Apart from its portable efficient adapters that allow three devices to be charged at once — Ringke is best known for its protective phone cases. With ranges like Fusion X, Onyx and Fusion Magnetic, the brand caters to both iPhones and Android phones.
The new iPhone 17 cases introduced by the company comes with drop protection MagSafe compatibility and a smudge-resistant matte finish. In a recent drop test video by YouTuber TECHOOB, audiences witnessed the efficiency of Ringke iPhone covers as it provided complete protection for an iPhone that was dropped from a height of 1000 ft.
“Constructing the manufacturing unit in Sriperumbudur will give Ringke the advantage of a skilled workforce and an established electronics hub. It will also reinforce our commitment to investing in India’s manufacturing ecosystem,” shared K. Senthil Kumar, Country Head of Ringke India.
The current manufacturing shift signals greater implications for India’s export industry. It will contribute to the diverse nature of Tamil Nadu’s electronic cluster as more brands like Ringke invests in the region. For Indian consumers, this move by the brand means quicker and cheaper availability of latest quality accessories.
