PK holds interactive session with Vishvaranjan Pandita

JAMMU, Oct 14: Panun Kashmir, (PK) organized an interactive session of prominent community leaders and social activists with Vishvaranjan Pandita, who recently represented the issue of the Kashmiri Pandit genocide at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Geneva.
The event, held at the Writers’ Club, here, today was marked by emotion, pride, and a strong reaffirmation of the community’s ongoing struggle for justice and recognition.
The community leaders, intellectuals, and activists lauded Pandita for his courageous and articulate representation of the truth of the Kashmiri Pandit genocide before the international community.
In his address, Vishvaranjan Pandita expressed deep gratitude to PK for its decades-long dedication to the cause of the exiled community. He said that his presence at the United Nations was not a personal achievement but a collective assertion of the community’s right to recognition and justice. “This was not my voice, it was the voice of every Kashmiri Pandit who has lived through exile, loss, and denial”,
Bhushan Lal Bhat, senior PK leader, spoke about the essence of Pandita’s intervention at Geneva, calling it “a turning point in our collective journey.”
Sanjay Raina a well known social activist highlighted the historic role of PK in building a movement grounded in conviction and clarity.
Prof. B.L. Zutshi, president Hindu Education Society Kashmir (HESK) reflected on both the significance of the intervention and the philosophical depth of the PK movement. “We are not merely narrating a story of suffering but asserting the truth of a civilization that refuses to perish”.
On the occasion Vishvaranjan Pandita and his parents were honoured.
The event was hosted by Prof. Tito Ganju, who spoke with heartfelt pride and emotion. “It is a moment of profound satisfaction to host the honoring function for my student,” he said. “To see him speak for his people on the world stage is not only a teacher’s joy, it is a reminder that the seeds of truth we sowed are now flowering into courage”.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Akrati Raina. Rakesh Hangloo, Sanjay Dhar, S K Handoo and others attended the function.
