Public holidays declared on November 6 and 11, all banks, schools and offices to remain closed
Bihar Election 2025: Voting is scheduled to take place in all seven assembly constituencies of Bhagalpur on November 11, 2025 (Tuesday) from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. A paid public holiday will be in force in Bhagalpur on November 11, 2025. In this context, the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar has issued a notification declaring the voting dates of November 6, 2025 (Thursday) and November 11, 2025 (Tuesday) as paid public holidays for the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025.
Public Holiday: Paid public holiday has been declared on 6th and 11th November, the days of voting for Bihar Election 2025. The General Administration Department, Government of Bihar has issued a notification declaring paid public holiday on the date of voting for the General Assembly Election 2025 in two phases on 6th November 2025 (Thursday) and 11th November 2025 (Tuesday). Voting is scheduled to be held on 11th November 2025 (Tuesday) from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm in all the seven assembly constituencies of Bhagalpur. Paid public holiday will be applicable on 11th November 2025 in Bhagalpur.
5,000 voters will cast their votes at this booth, and the District Magistrate inspected the preparations.
District Election Officer Dr. Naval Kishore Choudhary and Senior Superintendent of Police Hriday Kant jointly inspected five polling stations located at the Government Urdu Middle School, Barehpura, in the 156-Bhagalpur Assembly Constituency. During the inspection, the facilities provided to voters under the AMF, including ramps, drinking water, male and female toilets, lighting, shade, and seating arrangements, were observed. The Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, cum Returning Officer, 156-Bhagalpur, was directed to ensure these facilities are provided at all polling stations.
The District Magistrate stated that approximately 5,000 voters will be voting here, so signage and rope barricades should be installed at the entrances of all five booths. District Election Officer Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary and Senior Superintendent of Police Hriday Kant jointly inspected the checkpoints at various locations, including the Barari Bridge and the airport, set up to check vehicles to monitor the movement of illegal materials, liquor, and money. Several necessary instructions were issued to the static surveillance teams deployed there.
Voter Awareness Rally to Awaken Voters
A voter awareness rally was held from the Jagdishpur block headquarters on Tuesday in preparation for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections. The rally was led by Block Development Officer Amit Kumar. A large number of local public representatives, including sanitation workers, livelihood sisters, Anganwadi workers, and students from Kasturba Gandhi Girls School and Middle School, participated in the rally. Holding placards, participants chanted slogans like “First vote, then refreshments,” creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and awareness throughout the area. The rally began at the block office complex, traveled through various routes, and ended back at the block complex. During the rally, people were made aware of the importance of voting.
On this occasion, Block Development Officer Amit Kumar said, “Voting is the greatest celebration of democracy. Every voter should exercise their right to vote to ensure better governance and development.” At the event, a team of sanitation workers, women from the Jeevika group, and students inspired people by linking both cleanliness and voting to the strength of democracy. At the rally’s conclusion, officials appealed to the public to reach the polling stations in large numbers and exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections on November 11th. Present on the occasion were BPRO Priyanshu Raj, Project Block Officer (Jeevika) Roshan Kumar, CC Gopal Raj, Pushpa Kumari, Kanchan Kumari, Amisha Kumari, Praveen Kumar, Anganwadi Supervisor Sujata Kumari, along with hundreds of Anganwadi workers, Jeevika Didi, sanitation workers, and school children.
