ADGP conducts night inspection in Sonepat

ADGP Mamta Singh, Commissioner of Police, conducted a surprise inspection of various police stations, night patrolling vehicles and crime-prone areas on Tuesday night.

The Police Commissioner directed the police personnel to be more vigilant in their areas and to make patrolling more effective, especially at night. “The active presence of the police instills a sense of security among the public,” Mamta Singh said.

The Commissioner, along with the DCP (crime) Narender Kadyan and ACP (headquarters) Ajit Singh, found several anomalies at several police stations and also found some police personnel absent from duty. The Commissioner directed the SHOs and officials to maintain their police stations properly and warned that strict action would be initiated if any shortcomings were found in the future.

During the night, the Commissioner of Police visited several main roads, market areas, and crime-prone areas in Sonepat, Kharkhoda, and the Saidpur border area and inspected the patrolling routes, deployment, and security measures during the visit. She directed the officials that criminal activities could be prevented by strong policing, especially at night.

The Commissioner of Police also directed that the crime-prone areas be identified a special vigil be kept on incidents such as drug abuse, snatching, vehicle theft etc.

The Commissioner also directed that strict vigil should be kept on suspicious people and their activities and the vehicles should be checked properly.
