As many as 36,571 candidates have qualified to appear in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled to be held in November this year, Dr Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, said here today.
He said that the board received a total of 38,883 online applications and out of which, 36,571 candidates successfully completed their applications with fee payment, while 2,312 applications were rejected due to the non-payment of fees.
He said that the applications were invited from September 10 to October 8, including the period for late fees. He added that the list of the rejected applications had been uploaded on the board’s website. The candidates, whose names appear on the rejection list despite having paid fees on time, may submit their fee payment documents to the board’s office by October 17 so that their candidature could be considered.
Sharma said that the roll numbers of such candidates would be issued only after the verification of their documents and fee payment.
He said that no requests would be entertained after October 17. He asked the candidates to contact the board’s office helpline for additional information.
The HP TET exam is conducted twice a year. Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and score at least 60 per cent (general category) and 55 per cent (reserved categories) to pass.
The upcoming November 2025 exam is scheduled to take place between November 2 and 16.
