Cash recovery from Harcharan Bhullar’s house touches Rs 7 crore

The cash recovery from the residence of arrested Ropar DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar in Chandigarh has touched Rs 7 crore, with three currency-counting machines still processing the remaining cash found stuffed in three large bags and two suitcases at his palatial Sector 40 house.

Keys to several bank lockers have also been recovered and they are yet to be opened.

Earlier, officials had seized around 1.5 kg of gold, valued at approximately Rs 2 crore, along with other valuables from the senior Punjab IPS officer’s premises.

After his medical examination, Bhullar will be produced before the Special CBI court in Chandigarh.
