The State pays ₹300 for skilled workers and ₹270 for semi-skilled workers per day; products, such as ready-made garments, leather shoes, raincoats, and bakery items, are sold under the brand name ‘Freedom’; prisoners are allowed to pursue degrees and diplomas offered by Tamil Nadu Open University
