'Emily in Paris' Season 5: Here's when Netflix will premiere Emily Cooper's next adventure

Lilly Collins will return soon to embark on the next adventure of Emily Cooper. This time, an additional destination is also on the cards: Italy. “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris,” creator Darren Star told Netflix in a statement. “Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”

Netflix will premiere the new season of Emily in Paris on December 18.

Aside from Collins, returning cast members include Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello), and Thalia Besson (Genevieve).

Season 5 will add Bryan Greenberg (Junction, Suits LA, How to Make it in America), Michèle Laroque (Brillantissime), and Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Will & Grace).

The creator clarified that despite exploring Emily's romantic liaison with an Italian fashion designer in Season 4 and her plans to start an office in Rome, the new season will retain 'Paris' in its title.“Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris,” says Star, who came up with the Rome office idea to “stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places.”

On this romance angle, Collins explains, "Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance. We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
