CBSE Practical Exam Dates 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule of practical examinations for classes 10th and 12th in schools starting in winter.

CBSE Practical Exam Dates 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for practical exams for classes 10 and 12 for schools starting in the winter. According to the circular, practical exams, projects, and internal assessments will be held between November 6 and December 6, 2025. Candidates can check the notice by visiting the official website, cbse.gov.in.

Typically, CBSE practical exams begin on January 1st, but because schools are closed during the winter, the board has advanced the timetable to complete the exams before the long winter holidays. In other schools in India and abroad, practical and internal assessments will begin as usual on January 1st, 2026.

The Board has issued strict guidelines (SOPs) to schools to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations:

Student List: Schools will ensure that only students whose names have been submitted to the Board in the online ‘List of Candidates (LOC)’ are allowed to appear for the examination.

Uploading Marks: Schools must begin uploading marks from the date of commencement of practical examinations and must complete this work by December 6th.

No Marks Correction: When uploading marks, school principals, internal examiners, and external examiners must ensure that only correct marks are uploaded, as no corrections will be allowed once the marks are uploaded.

Single Assessment: Internal assessment for Class 10 and practical assessment for Class 12 will be conducted only once. If students wish to appear for another board examination later, the same marks will apply.

Candidates are advised to visit the official website for more details.
