VIDEO: Mammootty on London sets of 'Patriot' after Hyderabad schedule

After completing the Hyderabad schedule of Mahesh Narayanan's Patriot, Mammootty has joined the UK schedule. MammoottyKampany posted a video of the team filming the portions which also involves Aattam actress Zarin Shihab.

The megastar recently resumed shoot of the big-scale thriller co-starring Mohanlal, after a eight-month hiatus to recover from a concerning health ailment. Mohanlal stars in a prominent role alongside Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara and others. It is bankrolled jointly by MammoottyKampany and Anto Joseph Film Company. The makers unveiled the thrilling teaser two weeks ago.

Filming began in Sri Lanka in November last year, followed by schedules in Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates. Other locations include London, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kochi.

Patriot is editor-turned-director Mahesh Narayanan's biggest project yet. He is known for the films Take Off, CU Soon, Malik, and Ariyippu. He also debuted as a cinematographer with the Fahadh-starrer Malayankunju, for which he wrote the script.

Mammootty, who was last seen in Bazooka, is looking forward to the most-awaited Kalamkaval, in which he is playing a lead role, of a negative shade, opposite Vinayakan, who plays the other main lead. It is helmed by debutant Jithin K Jose. The recently released promos tease another scene-stealing performance.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is concurrently working on the third part of Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam film series. Kunchacko Boban's other upcoming project is Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, which reunites the actor with Nna Thaan Case Kodu director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. Fahadh, last seen in Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, has started shooting for Shashank Yeleti's Telugu feature Don't Trouble the Trouble, which is presented by SS Rajamouli.
