Bhubaneswar bathes in light and faith as Capital city radiates divine energy on Kali Puja night

The capital city of Bhubaneswar on Sunday came alive with colour, devotion, and festive fervour as thousands of devotees gather to celebrate the grand occasion of Kali Puja. The atmosphere across the city is charged with energy and faith, with chants, lights, and traditional rituals filling the air.

One of the major centres of celebration, Satyakali Peeth in Satya Nagar, has witnessed a massive turnout of devotees since early morning. To ensure a smooth flow of visitors, special queue arrangements have been made for darshan.

As per temple sources, Goddess Satyakali is being worshipped in her divine manifestations of the Dasamahavidya, each symbolizing different aspects of cosmic power, knowledge, and protection.

The rituals began with the sacred Homa (fire offering) and Yajna, performed by priests amid rhythmic chants. Devotees lit lamps and offered prayers to the Navagrahas (nine planets), seeking peace, prosperity, and harmony in their lives.

The evening schedule includes the Kalasha Adhibasa ceremony at 7 PM, followed by the Upachara Puja and the Chandi Path, a powerful recitation invoking the goddess’s strength and grace.
