NGO distributes water purifiers, hygiene kits

JAMMU, Oct 20: Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) ‘THE -SARA’ today organized a relief distribution programme and gave water purifiers and hygiene kits to 25 families hit by the recent landslides in village Pathi, Pancheri Tehsil of Udhampur District.
The initiative was aimed at ensuring access to safe drinking water and promoting personal and community hygiene in the aftermath of the disaster.
Landslides in Pathi have caused severe damage to homes, drinking water sources and local infrastructure, leaving many families vulnerable to health risks and water-borne diseases.
Responding promptly, ‘THE – SARA’ mobilized its team to support to the affected area.
During distribution drive, 25 families received water purifiers, enabling them to access clean drinking water, along with hygiene kits containing essential items like soap, detergent, sanitary pads, toothpaste and disinfectants.
The event witnessed participation from local PRI members, community representatives and volunteers. ‘THE–SARA’ team also interacted with the affected families, assessed their ongoing needs and assured continued support in coordination with local authorities.
