'Thamma' Day 2 Box Office Collection: Will Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandana starrer cross Rs 50 crore in worldwide earnings

Thamma had a remarkable opening at the box office, collecting Rs 24 crore in net domestic collection. On Day 2, it added Rs 8.15 crore, as of 5 pm, reported Sacnilk.
The final estimates of Day 1 revealed that Thamma earned Rs 30.75 crore on Day 1. This includes Rs 28.75 crore from gross domestic collection and Rs 2 crore from overseas screens.
Will Thamma cross Rs 50 crore on Day 2?
Though Wednesday is a week day, analysts expect the movie to perform well on Day 2. While a dip is expected compared to the opening day, Thamma could surge back on Thursday because of Bhai Dooj. It will continue to woo moviegoers during the weekend as well.
Produced at a budget of Rs 145 crore, Thamma has opened to mixed reviews. However, it has performed well at the box office.
On Day 2, morning shows reported an occupancy of 10.21 per cent while afternoon shows were filled 29.47 per cent. Sacnilk reported that the morning shows on Day 1 was occupied 15.76 per cent while afternoon shows saw 39.81 per cent occupancy. Around 42.91 per cent seats were filled in the evening while night shows had 39.5 per cent occupancy.
After Day 1 success of Thamma, Ayushmann Khurrana and Amar Kaushik visited Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings of Ganpati Bappa. This is Ayushmann's highest opening yet.
"The first day love that I have got, that the film has got, busts a lot of myths that people only want to see sequels and remakes and big superstar movies on Diwali. We scoring big with Thamma again shows that people want to see great content," the actor said after the remarkable opening.
