Tata Motors CV shares: When will the stock get listed on NSE and BSE?

After the demerger process of Tata Motors on October 14, all eyes are on the listing date of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles. 

 

Following the demerger, two separate entities were created: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) and Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMLCV). 

 

Recently, TMLCV shared an important update regarding the listing of the shares. According to the firm, Tata Motors CV stated that 3,68,23,31,373 shares have been allotted to the eligible shareholders of TMPVL. Based on the eligibility conditions as on the record date, October 14, the shares have been allotted to the eligible shareholders in the ratio of 1:1. 

 

What does this mean?

This would result in shareholders receiving shares in both new entities. For example, if a  shareholders possess 20 shares of Tata Motors as on the record date, they would receive 10 new shares in each of the new companies that were formed after the demerger. 

 

Listing date details:

According to the company, the listing process of Tata Motors CV usually takes 45-60 days from the date of filing the necessary application with the stock exchanges. This would mean that investors can expect the listing of the Tata Motors CV shares on NSE and BSE to happen anytime from mid-November to mid-December 2025. 

 

According to business analysts, with the demerger of the firm, investors will have more options to choose between the two companies for investment purposes based on their personal goals.
