CDS General Anil Chauhan champions tri-service synergy, theatrisation at Indian Navy commanders' conference

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, on Thursday, underscored the importance of tri-service synergy, jointness, and theatrisation for the future readiness and operational effectiveness of India's armed forces.

Addressing top naval commanders at the Indian Navy’s biannual Commanders’ Conference 2025 in Delhi, the CDS  highlighted the need for integrated planning and execution for better synergy and called upon the Navy's top leadership to focus on interoperability, joint training, and unified command structures to enhance efficiency across all domains.

He hailed the Navy’s role in safeguarding maritime interests and strengthening national security.

Earlier, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi had praised the Navy’s role in safeguarding national maritime interests through enhanced preparedness, adaptability, and proactive engagement in the region.

Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan too commended the role the Indian Navy plays in safeguarding the national interests of the country and ensuring the maritime security of the region. He spoke about the importance of efficiency, accountability, and integration in strengthening maritime and national capabilities, the Indian Navy said in a series of tweets.

Meanwhile, a document titled 'Compendium of Gases', which outlines the quality acceptance procedures and latest specifications aimed at enhancing safety and timely availability of various gases used onboard 

the Navy's platforms, was released during the conference. The document aims at enabling functional and procedural efficiency and safer operations.
