Vande Bharat in black coming SOON? Viral video show upcoming train featuring modern upgrades and luxury interiors; WATCH
A video showing a sleek black-coloured Vande Bharat Express has gone viral on social media, with many people claiming it to be an upcoming train featuring modern upgrades and luxury interiors. The stylish black train in the clip, with its aerodynamic look and large windows, has caught everyone’s attention and even reminded some viewers of the classic Rajdhani Express design. However, fact-checks have confirmed that the video is not real and is AI-generated and does not represent any official design or prototype of a new Vande Bharat train.
Currently, Indian Railways operates the Vande Bharat Express in two colour variants — the original white-and-blue and the newer orange-and-grey (orange-black) version introduced earlier this year. The so-called “black edition” seen in the viral clip does not exist.
Several clues reveal the video’s artificial origin. For instance, the front of the train has the text “Vande Bharat 2003”, even though the first real Vande Bharat train was launched only in 2019. The blurred and distorted side markings on the train are also typical signs of AI-generated imagery.

Experts say that AI tools and render engines can easily create lifelike train visuals, which often go viral because of their futuristic and realistic appeal. They have advised people to verify the source before believing or sharing such content online.
While Indian Railways is indeed expanding its Vande Bharat fleet with more advanced and comfortable versions, including India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, officials have clearly stated that there are no plans for a black-coloured Vande Bharat train at this time.
